Quest For Hope

The goal of this site is to provide a resource to those looking for hope and for those who have found hope to share their own personal story to strengthen others.

We live in a world where over 90% of the population believes in a higher power, a creator, God. Why is that? Why so many? Call it instinct, like the animals survive from generation to generation based on instinct, we too, by an instinct built deep within our body, mind and soul just know that there is a God -- even if we may have doubts. He created us and planted this undeniable truth in us all and the urge for us all to discover the truth. Though we may harden our hearts to a point where we cannot and will not allow ourselves to believe it, its true.  And if we'll just allow him to touch our lives, he will show us.

Throughout the Bible, God teaches us that if we just think like a child, we'll understand. Why is that? Because a child is constantly in a learning mode and always evaluating. As we get older we develop biases that immediately lead us to conclusions without the process of evaluating.  We, as older and "set in our way" people, tend to skip the whole evaluating process. If we'll only take the time to truly evaluate for ourselves and not letting all that we have learned from the world bias our thoughts, we can then discover the truth.

For example, in every public school in the US we're taught about evolution. So as we get older we begin to think, "this God thing is a hoax, because we all evolved right?" Well, in my own journey of discovery I began to let go of all the preconceived ideas that have been engrained in me all these years and took a look at the same old questions, but this time as a "child".  And surprise! Guess what?  I have found that there is absolutely no proof that we evolved.  In fact there is more proof that we were placed here in the blink of an eye. "No!!!!", I'm sure your saying in your mind right now. That can't be true! Everyone teaches it, every school does. On The Discover Channel, the theory of evolution presented in every show they have, so its just got be true. Right? Wrong! Darwin, who popularized the theory of evolution in his book "The Origin of Life", studied the evidence for years and finally wrote in his book that the fact that the "explosion of life" in the fossil record is a inexplicable mystery that he can just not explain and that if it cannot be explained, then it would invalidate his theory. Well guess what? Over a hundred years later and no one has been able to explain it, so you can draw your own conclusion! We'll write more about this topic and others and provide links to other useful resources so keep checking back with us!

As we see in life today and throughout our history, the constant battle of good and evil.  God is real and is in control this very day and just as He has taught us all through His Word of this ongoing battle, there is Salvation. And by it, many people are being deceived and tricked into putting their faith into false gods and false beliefs, just like evolution. Don't get tricked into believing what others tell you.  Pray, seek and study and I (and more importantly God) promises you, that you'll find the answers you seek. Mathew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

We cannot "convert" anyone or lead them to God and God does not want us to attempt to do so. He wants us to share our story, to share what He has done for us. To let the light that He has placed in us shine before all the world that He may be glorified. He will do the work, we are just the tools that He will use to help others like us. This site is a place (just one place of hopefully many) that you can share your story, your reason for Hope and let God do the rest!

I know that we'll have people that will post negative posts here as well.  And I must say that I welcome them as long as they are honest heartfelt feelings, no profanity or personal attacks speak from your heart.  Why? Because if you are taking your time to come here and write on this forum, the Jesus is leading you.  You're searching and whether you believe it or not, you're being led to Christ.  Soften your heart (i.e., let go of your anger or your frustrations or your preconceived thinking and let God speak to you.  If you quite your hear, let go of any anger you may have and most importantly Repent, Jesus will speak to your heart.

What do you need to do to have the Lord Jesus Christ start working in your life? It's really so simple.  In fact it is the easiest thing you can do in your life. Just follow these simple steps:

1) Admit that you are a sinner to your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2) Repent of your sins by confessing them to the Lord and ask for His forgiveness.

3) Ask Him into your life and to be the Lord of your life always putting Him first over everything.

4) Get plugged into a church. Find a church that teaches the Bible. Don't get caught up in religions or traditions.  Find a group of believers in Jesus Christ that read, study, and teach the Word of the Lord. Don't try to go it alone.

5) Read the Bible and test everything as you learn by reading the Word of God and test all that you know by what the Lord has written in his Word.
